Hi,
Looks like a few people are having problems with some of Daniel's files,
I have no idea what is wrong.
When the site was moved the whole file-gallery directory was moved with FTP - it *should* be identical.

I've disabled the old site to direct traffic to the up to date pages here and to prevent the file leaching we've been having (see hotlinking).

The old site is physically still there and as admin I can still access the files.

If you think a file has become corrupt in the transfer I can grab the old copy and post it here (need filename).

I don't own a win-ce device and I can't verify Daniel's code.

I am at work and can't spend more time on this now.

Cheers Eddie (admin).

Hi, Eddie. It was SatCe.arm.CAB, and the version was 1.37. There are actually three copies of these files on your list, but for three different WinCe versions. The file I was trying to install was for WM5.

Meanwhile I found a copy of an older version of SatCe (1.29) on a freeware site. I was given the choice of downloading it from the author's site or from RapidShare; I chose the latter, and it's working OK. Of course, some new features are likely to be missing.

Gerry,
I was mistaken earlier. I obviously clicked a link back to the new site by mistake and download the new file twice.
The old site does not have satce 1.37
I downloaded 1.33 and dropped it in the temp gallery.
This *should* be - SatCE 1.33 SatCE.arm.CAB Compilation for WM5
For some reason I have no trouble uploading files from home.

Thanks for the 1.33 version.
I'll wait patiently for a working 1.37 version.

Got this from Daniel today. He is in Germany for a few days.

It will be a while before he has internet at home (Poland I presume, I've lost track).
Eddie,

from Daniel.

With Vladislaw the programmer we found a few bugs in the code and they
are solved. Additionally we improved the reading mechanism. Now I have
to send the code to Vladislaw for final compilation and check. After
that I will release the new version. Somehow the VS2005 has so many
options that without testing it is difficult to do good compilation.

Hello:

I have problems with the SatCE 1.37 WM5 version. It dont work on my PPC with windows mobile 6.

I read this thread and download SatCe 1.33 WM5 version from temp gallery. ¡ this version works great and have Iridium flare support !.

It seems 1.37 version has any bug. I would like to download and test the earlier versions 1.34, 1.35, and 1.36 to see if any of thems works well for me.

¿how can i do it?

Thanks in advace.

This satellite tracking software from Daniel is GREAT. I love it

While we are waiting for correction or updates of version 1.37, could anyone make v1.33 available (packages for all 3 platforms)?

Echostar 7, Echostart 8,10, and Nimic 1,2 are not in the Communications Geostationary list. Is there a way to add satellites manually? If so I'm not sure where to find the data, such as altitude, velocity, etc.

I want to be able to locate geostationary satellites in the sky relative to the Sun, moon, and stars. Since applications like Vito Astronavigator also read the GPS data it should be easy to pin point very close to where these satellites are located in the sky.

This is all fantastic technology! It opens up my intuitional insight.

These satellites are just missing in the list after they are downloaded from CelesTrak. I browsed to http://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/ and find them in their list, however after they are opened in SatCE they are missing.

NOTE: I am also running SatCE version 1.32 because version 1.37 does not work on WM6

Hi,

where can I find a Version >= 1.33 that runs on WM6?
On temp is only version 1.32.
I'am interested in iridium calculator which should be integrated in 1.33

Thank you

Hi,

The problem with SatCe is a bug in the orginal code. I hope right now with the new version 1.38 it will work.

Daniel

I've just installed 1.38 (PC2003 version) and it works. Thanks Daniel!

Hi,
I have wm6 and "SatCe.arm.CAB v.1.39 for wm5" program runs fine (me like 😀) but when i exiting it hangs the hole wm6/mobile.🙁
I can´t find v.1.38 for wm5 or v.1.39 for wm6 to try them out.

pleas help me.😢

Has anyone tried to install on a Core Win CE 5.0 device? I can install the WM5 version, but it will not start. No error, no splash screen, nothing. No new processes in TaskManager.

A Core Win CE 5.0 device does not have all the software a PPC does. Typically, I find the missing dlls with a dependence checker and add them to the program's directory. I needed aygshell.dll and gx.dll that I added. I can run many Mobile programs. Does this program need some specific PPC application?

More on SatCE problems on a Core Win CE 5.0 device. I use the gx.dll provided by WinCESoft http://wincesoft.com/html/gapi_for_hpc_s.html.

The CE2002 and CE2003 versions will start and you can see a few screens but many error messages appear stating "Create standard screen mode Failed" or "Create full screen mode Failed"

When I try to start the Sat CE WM5 version on my 480x272 WinCE device it fails to start. The debugger shows:

When I try to start the Sat CE WM5 version on my 320x242 WinCE device, I get a popup error:

Fatal Application Error: A security error of unknown cause has been detected which has corrupted the programs's internal state. The programs cannot safely continue execution and now be terminated. Program: SatCE.exe

This program looks to have everything I want to find the elusive Iridium flares. I've seen about 20 or so but they are hard to find. Thanks to any help.
