Some tips for editing tikiwiki pages

editing tips

You can view the page source to see what is there - either by clicking "edit" or "source" at the bottom of the page.

There are many ways to add images to a wiki page.
For a simple image with no larger version the "upload picture" button works fine but for images linked to a larger version I put the large image in an image gallery.
Each image has a unique id number. You can see the ID in the URL (address) for the image.
In most browsers pointing to the gallery thumbnail will show the URL without needing to click on it.
A part of the URL says "imageID=XX".

I've found the easiest way it to use this line on wiki code
{img src="show_image.php?id=209&thumb=1"|link=show_image.php?id=209}
Where 209 is the image ID. This places the thumbnail on the wiki page and clicking the image bring up the large version.
The results is ....

If you want to add a comment use.
||{img src="show_image.php?id=210&thumb=1"|link=show_image.php?id=210}|a comment||
This uses the wiki table feature with the thumbnail in one cell and your text in the next.
