Mainly pictures and video of my models flying.
There is more at Flying toys

These clips were shot around the first of December 2007 at Nimbin Rocks.
Cyberchute clips.
My main cyberchute site is here
The main site has details of this model. One thing to note is the canopy is modified to a two string configuration instead of the usual four lines used on skysurfers. This is mainly to make the chutes compatible with the black thing below. I think it is also a little more responsive this way.
There are two clips saved in two different sizes - therefore the "sml" for "small" in the names.

Flying black thing clips.
The black thing also has its own page here
Again this chute is in two string mode.
The first clip is quite short. One or two seconds into the clip you can hear a squawk - this is the low voltage alarm on my transmitter. I aborted the flight straight away and caught the model.

The next clip comes in two sizes. This model has heaps of power and starts to porpoise after launch. It takes me a while to sort it out because I don't want to pull too much power close to the ground.
I suspect moving the COG forward would help. My previous cyberchute (not the one on this page) had a lot of power too but it could climb very steeply without stalling for some reason.

Lama helicopter.
lama.mpg (8.51 Mb)

The Lama tipped over and crashed at the end. It clearly had some sort of failure.
On the frame where the lama begins to tip there is a streak in the top left corner. There is nothing like this on any other frame. It might just be a co-incidence or it could be something flung from the model.
It appears the stablizer remained attached and the antenna cable is where it should be.
The lower blade tips broke off at some point.
Thanks to Marg and Mike for pointing the cameras for me.
